One of my favorite ways to incorporate Home Economics into our homeschool days is by creating quick, delicious meals with the help of my 12-year-old daughter. Check out how we created delicious Loaded Barbeque Pork Stuffed Baked Potatoes using HORMEL® CULINARY COOKERS™ Barbeque Pork Roast.

When we are cooking together, I include Sabria in the full process. From meal planning to going to the store for purchase, and then cooking and plating – it is important to me that she knows how to do it all!

To make this meal, we visited our local Target store to check out the Hormel Foods CULINARY CUTS®, CULINARY PAIRINGS®, and CULINARY COOKERS™ products that perfectly crafted to help you in the kitchen. These chef-inspired, flavorful, quick prep protein solutions help to elevate the everyday meal — perfect for a preteen in charge of weeknight dinner! And Target always comes through with great deals. Through October 24, 2020, you can get 30% off HORMEL® ALWAYS TENDER® CULINARY COOKERS™, CULINARY CUTS®, and CULINARY PAIRINGS® products at your local Target where the products are available. Because learning to save money on food is an essential part of home economics!

The CULINARY COOKERS™ Barbeque Pork Roast was the perfect choice for my girl. Each HORMEL® CULINARY COOKERS™ product is hand-trimmed and pre-seasoned so they are ready to cook. Simply prepare using your favorite multi-cooker or slow cooker, shred the meat and serve. Every HORMEL® CULINARY COOKERS™ chef-inspired product delivers delicious flavors that your family will love!

These Loaded Barbeque Pork Stuffed Baked Potatoes were an easy meal for Sabria to make. She started the CULINARY COOKERS™ Barbeque Pork Roast in our slow cooker after breakfast and cooked it on low for 6 hours. And done! Chef inspired, quality pork roast in only a few easy steps. Served on top of a baked potato, topped with our favorite fixings — homeschool home economics at its finest!

I know that your family will enjoy it just as much as we did. Using CULINARY COOKERS™ Barbeque Pork Roast to make these Loaded Barbeque Pork Stuffed Baked Potatoes was convenient and so easy, a kid can do it. That’s always a win for this busy homeschool mama!

Loaded Barbeque Pork Stuffed Baked Potatoes

These oven-baked potatoes, topped with slow-cooker pork, barbeque sauce, and the cast of your favorite toppings, are sure to be a hit with your family!
- 4 large potatoes
- 1 20 oz. package HORMEL® CULINARY COOKERS™ Barbeque Pork Roast
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- butter
- sour cream or plain greek yogurt
- shredded cheese
- jalapenos
- barbeque sauce
Open package and place HORMEL® CULINARY COOKERS™ Barbeque Pork Roast in the slow cooker to cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
1.5 hours before cook time on pork is complete, preheat oven to 400 degrees. Wash potatoes well and pat dry. Drizzle each potato with oil and wrap them individually in foil. Place the foil-wrapped potatos on a baking sheet and bake for about an hour or until potatoes are tender. You can test tenderness by squeezing potatoes (carefully with an oven mitt) to see if they are soft throughout.
Once cook time on CULINARY COOKERS™ Barbeque Pork Roast is complete, shred with a fork.
Cut an oval on the skin of cooked potato and remove it. Use a fork to break up the inside of potato while keeping the remaining skin intact.
Now you can add your favorite toppings! I always recommend salt and pepper first. Then we add butter, cheese, sour cream, and our favorite barbeque sauce. And if you like a little spice, then jalapenos are a great touch!
Serve and enjoy!
These look SO good! I’ve had a pulled pork potato before but never thought to make it at home! I def will try this
Yes! So easy, and much more inexpensive! Do you have a crockpot or instapot? You can make this pulled pork using either one.
This is a great recipe! Pulled pork and potatoes are two of my favorite food items and I like mixing them together.
Same here! And topped with cheese…YUM!
This look so good I haven’t had a bbq baked potato in awhile.
You should definitely try these! And buying the pork already preseason, trimmed, and ready to cook made it so easy!
